FOIS 2014 will be hosted by Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV). FGV is a Brazilian Think Tank and Higher Education Institution founded in 1944, dedicated to promoting Brazil’s economic and social development. In 2013, FGV was considered one of the top 25 think tanks in the world and top think tank in Central and South America, according to the Global Go To Think Tanks Index produced by Pennsylvania University.

Workshops Venue and Transportation
The first day of FOIS (i.e., the day of the workshops: Monday, Sept. 22nd) will take place in FGV Centro (aka FGV Downtown). This will give all of you an opportunity to experience a bit of Rio’s historical center.
We will provide transportation from FGV Botafogo (the main site of the conference) to FGV Centro on Sep 22nd. The meeting point is at the Entrance Foyer of FGV Botafogo. There will be a coordinator organizing the departures that are scheduled for 07h30am.
The workshops start at 09h00am and registration desk will be open from 07h30am on. There will be no registration in this first day (i.e., the 22nd) at FGV Botafogo.
For those who are from Rio or would like to explore the city, there is the possibility of taking a cab or the subway. The address of FGV Centro is: Rua da Candelária, 6 – Centro, Rio de Janeiro, CEP: 20091-02 (in the corner of Streets Candelária and Alfândega). You can see it in the map below:

After the workshops there will be transportation back to FGV Botafogo. The shuttles will be leaving from FGV Centro from 06h00pm on.
From Tuesday on (i.e., from Sept. 23rd to 25th), we will be in FGV Botafogo where the registration desk will be open daily from 08h00am on. We remind you that the opening session on Tuesday 23rd begins at 09h00am.
